September 14th, 2024

Learn a variety of Shibori folding techniques to create brilliant patterns. You will use wood boards, clips, rubber bands and other items to fold fabric into different shapes. Then you will dip the fabric into different colored dyes and watch the pattern develop as it hits the air. Everyone will receive a silk scarf and two pieces of cotton fabric to dye. You can also bring additional white items to dye if you like. Small items like baby onesies and t-shirts work best. You will be amazed at all the incredible patterns you can create!

September 22nd 12:00-2:00pm

Learn the basic techniques to give your clothes a second life! Please bring a garment in need of mending; we will also provide some scrap fabric, thread and needles if you just want to practice. this is an in-person class at the Toolbox Collective during the LoLa Art Crawl.
